A Hug and Kiss... A Kiss Forever

1+1=2
For Valentine's Day, the guy I just started dating, sent me a card and half of a two dollar bill with the note: "I gave you a half of a $2 bill. I will have the other half in my wallet with me at all times. When we are together my half and your half will be a whole, and those ones make a two like you and me, 1+1=2." It is in my wallet and every so often when I miss him I pull it out and hold it. -submitted by Anonymous

100 Reasons Why I Love You
My fiancé and I live about an hour away from each other, and both of us are in college. Sometimes we get caught up in the hubbub of college life. We chat on the phone a lot, but that gets expensive for a broke, college girl, so we also chat on the computer. One day, he asked me if I was sure that I loved him and I told him of course. He asked me why, and I told him there were at least 100 reasons. When he asked me to name 5, I told him to give me a minute, I had to do something. In the buddy info of my chat program, I listed 10 reasons why I love him, for him and everyone else I know to see. I told him to check, and he called me up as soon as he read it gushing about how much he loved me. A week later, I put up 10 more, and the same thing the week after that. Once he caught on that there was a new set of 10 every week, he started doing the same thing. It lasted for 10 weeks. We had so much fun doing it, we just kept it up. It's a great little reminder to have sometimes, just to let you know that you're thought of. -submitted by Melissa

148 Days of Kisses
My boyfriend was in the Navy when we first started dating. About two or three months later we knew he would have to go on cruise for six months. I was not happy that he was going to be away from me that long. So the day after he left on cruise I got a box from him in the mail. I opened it up and in it was card that said that he missed me already and he hoped that this would help get me through the cruise. In the box were 148 Hershey’s kisses, one for each day he would be gone. He said that this way he could give me a kiss everyday. -submitted by Audra

A Beary Special Reminder
My boyfriend and I received a teddy bear from a little boy on the plane who said we needed it. The bear had a red shirt on that said, "Jesus loves me"... we have been together roughly 5 years, but have been separated for 4 by distance. Every time we come together we bring the bear and take turns bringing him home -- a reminder of how infinite our love is. Whenever we are alone (while the other is in the shower, sleeping, out) we leave little love notes in the bear’s sleeves. Now the bear has our infinite love tucked in all the time ... until we can finally be together forever. -submitted by Dee

A C.D. of Him
My boyfriend and I have a long distance relationship! It's very hard, but we are both working very hard to keep it this amazing! I once called him, in tears, to say I couldn't stand it anymore not being with him, not being able to hear his voice. We talked and talked, and the next day as I looked in my email box, I saw he had sent me a voicemail. He just simply said, "I love you!" And the day after I got another mail with a soundtrack of him! He had written me a song! I just started crying! The song was so completely from the heart! So now, I’ve made myself a C.D. of him, with songs he sang as well as his voice saying "I love you", and every time I feel down, or miss him, I just listen to the C.D.! It really helps! -submitted by Eefje

A Day Off
I work about 55 hours a week while my wife stays home with our two children. While we both like our "jobs", I know that mine ends when I get home. My wife, however, has tons of things to do simply because some things can't be done during the day (like bathing the children, cooking, cleaning up). We can't go out in the evenings because baby-sitters and homework get in the way. Occasionally, I come home with bath oil, candles, and a dream home magazine and tell my wife to take a day (night) off. I do the child bathing, cooking, cleaning up, everything that she normally does while she relaxes. We both love it. Incidentally, this year we are building the dream house my wife picked 10 years ago. -submitted by Anonymous

A Deck Of Love Letters
A couple of years ago, I was involved in a long-distance relationship. Sending letters in the mail was one of my favorite ways to communicate with her, but I also wanted to do something extra special for her. While I was at the store, I bought a fine-tip permanent marker and a deck of poker cards. Each day I would take a card out and write a short love letter on the face of the card and mail it to her. Fifty-two days later, and she had a complete deck of love letters. Whenever she was feeling lonely, all she had to do was take out the deck of cards and play solitaire to be constantly reminded of how much I loved her. -submitted by GentleWhisper

A Family Valentine
It seems that every time we turn around someone is getting divorced, so this year we decided that on Valentines Day we would make it an "all love day." I am a stay-at-home mom, and my husband is taking the day off from work and we are spending the entire day with our 5 children. We are going to children’s school parties, make our usual heart-shaped individual pan pizzas, and then decorate little individual heart-shaped cakes for dessert. We then will play games and watch movies together until bedtime for the kids. Then we will have time for each other. We will exchange gifts and have the rest of the night for us - a couple, not parents for a little while. It may sound corny but with the divorce rate where it is, children need a day to be shown that there parents still want and need each other, and most importantly love each other. -submitted by Mother of 5

A Hug and Kiss
My boyfriend was away at boot camp on our 2-year anniversary, so his family gave me all of my presents. I got cards all day and when I got home, I received balloons with a teddy bear. It was holding Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses. Since I wouldn't see him for 37 days, there was a hug and kiss for everyday until I got to see him again. It was so sweet since I missed him so much! -submitted by Amanda

A Kiss Forever
My wife and I are separated at the moment. I'm currently in Germany working for the government. We e-mail each other every day. I asked her if she would put lipstick on, kiss a letter and send it to me. She was asking why? I told her I just wanted to put her lips in my wallet kissing my butt (joke). I later took the letter to a tattoo parlor. He traced her lips on tattoo paper and 1 hour of pain later, I have her lips on the right rear part of my neck. On vacation, I went back home and showed her. I told her that even when we are apart I still feel her kissing me on my neck while I'm in bed. I've got to say that was the best vacation I have ever had in a long time. -submitted by Gonzo
