Lucky To Have A Second Chance

When my boyfriend and I met 6 yrs ago I was dating another guy. The relationship that I was currently in was an extremely abusive one. We went out a couple of times and we really hit it off. About 2 months or so later I found out that I was pregnant.

Confused, since I had been seeing both guys at the same time, I told my boyfriend that the baby wasn't his. A couple of months past when I decided to sit down and write him a not explaining the way I truly felt about him and the whole situation.

I just wanted him to understand that I did have very strong feelings for him it just wasn't a good time. After receiving this letter, he started to come around every so often. Once the baby was born, I called him from the hospital to let him know.

Unfortunately he did not come up to see her but I could understand why. Two days later he stopped by to see the baby and we've been together ever since.

It's now been 5 and 1/2 yrs and we're still going strong. Whether or not my baby was truly his we will never know. He accepted her as his own and we now have another child. I feel I was so lucky after everything that had happened he cared enough to give me a second chance.
