A Romantic... A Promised... A Living Gifts / Roses

1000 Yellow Daisies
This has never happened to me before but is my idea of an incredibly romantic gesture. If you want to be really romantic to your girlfriend on whatever anniversary you want, buy her 1000 yellow daisies (or a flower that she likes) and have them put in a room in her house or office as a surprise. It might be a little expensive but she will love it! -submitted by Kym

12 Roses
Here's an idea. Send your love 11 roses. The next time you see them give them the 12th one in person. -submitted by BuZzY

A Bed Of Roses
My wife and I were having a hard time once...it was very bad. So, one day at work I was thinking of a way to make up with her. After work I ran out and got several red roses. I came home and wrote a poem riddle to direct her as to what to do. We had music to dance to, and I whispered many things in her ear. The last song we danced to was "Bed of Roses." After that I picked her up in my arms, and carried her to her big treat. I gently laid my beautiful wife in that bed of roses...and you let your imagination tell you the rest. -submitted by Anonymous

A Flower for Him
My fiancé is a pianist. One day he forgot his piano keyboard in my car and he asked me to deliver the keyboard to him. I bought a big pink sunflower, wrapped it nicely, put it in the pocket of the keyboard cover and put all in my car case. When I met him, I asked him to open the car case and take the keyboard, when he opened it ... he stood stunned for a minute and then laughed out loud. -submitted by Maro

A Living Gift
For our first Valentine's Day together, my husband went all out to surprise me. He arranged for my mother-in-law to keep our daughter and when I got home that evening after work, we were alone. He wouldn't let me go into our bedroom until he had been in there a few minutes. Then he called for me and I went in. He had two vases of my favorite flowers on both sides of our bed, balloons hanging from the ceiling everywhere, two stuffed cats on a heart-shaped pillow kissing, a heart candle, a box of chocolates that played my favorite Elvis song when you open it, and my favorite gift - HIM lying in the middle of our bed looking all cute and seductive. He also bought me a butterfly bush for our yard. He knows I love butterflies and flowers. Even after we moved, I dug it up and took it with us because it reminds me of our love and all of the trouble he went through to make that Valentine's Day the most wonderful day of the year. -submitted by Butterfli

A Nice Detail
Place a rose on the windshield with a message to her written on the windshield or window. You can leave a message on the windshield with an erasable marker, or leave a letter saying whatever you want. Don't forget to place a napkin in order let her clean the message you've left for her, if you leave a letter, place it into a plastic bag, to secure the message in case of rain. -submitted by Carlos

A Promised Rose
My boyfriend and I met online. He was in Florida and I was in Nevada. I wanted him to know how much I did love him so I sent him 11 red roses with a card saying, "The twelfth rose in waiting for you in Nevada.” When he got off the plane, I stood there holding a single red rose. We have been together in Nevada for 7 months and I still love him dearly. -submitted by Lil Bunnie

A Reason For Romance
My fiance and I have made it a tradition that whenever one of us buys the other roses, we enjoy their beauty for a few days but then rather than throwing them out, we sprinkle the petals into a hot bath that we enjoy together. It's so romantic to be surrounded by velvety rose petals and it's also a great way to enjoy the roses after they have started to fade. -submitted by Jessi Gosen

A Romantic Bouquet of "Roses" for Him
A while back, I created and hosted "Husband Appreciation" night at our home. After inviting several couples, I asked the wives to keep the night's theme a secret from the husbands. I then informed each wife that she would have to "tell" her husband why he was appreciated and then "show" him by presenting him with something special and unique to express her love and appreciation. When our husbands discovered that the night was in their honor, they were so touched! It was a very romantic evening. The husbands, and wives, too, are still talking about it. This is what I did for my wonderful husband:
after telling him why I so greatly appreciated him, I presented him with a beautiful vased bouquet of home depot gift cards, (complete with baby's breath, greenery, and a bow)! I bought a large arrangement of artificial roses; I removed the flowers from the stems. In the place of the flowers, I hot glued the gift cards. He loved it!!! Not all men enjoy receiving flowers. My husband is one of them, but those flowers he'll always remember and never forget!

A Rose A Day...
I have been happily married to my best friend in life for 23 years. I love to garden almost as much as I love her. We commute to work together, but I enjoy starting each day with a small token of my love for her. So, every morning I go out to the gardens to find that special rose or flower to place on her morning shower towel and often include a note simply saying "I love you". I have drawn on the bathroom mirror a huge heart or "I love you" using the bar soap. It is great to still be on our "honeymoon!" -submitted by Peter
